If you ever need a quick pick-me-up, bust out your old Nintendo or Super Nintendo.
This is like instant therapy. The gameplay on these systems was/is outstanding. Back then, the developers had to focus on game play instead of graphics. Don't get me wrong, there were some pretty tremendous steps forward in graphical quality (compared to Smurfs for Atari), but these games are just fun. I am currently playing Zelda: A Link to the Past (which I had never played before) and Super Mario World.
At the same time you are overjoyed with the sheer fun of playing, you will find all the good times from way back when washing over you like the first time you took exstacy.
